1. Read the rules of conduct

We are not too much in favor of imposing rules, but it is clear that building a safe space for naturist socialization entails the need to create a code of conduct. This is ours:

1. Age restriction. Although we are part of the Catalan Club of Naturism, an association open to people of all ages, the basis of our group is to generate a safe space for young people as a minority group within naturism . For this reason, our group is open to people between 18 and 30 years old. . Exceptions can be considered, but in any case the maximum age to be in WhatsApp groups and to participate in activities organized exclusively by Joves Naturistes is 35 years old . If you are over 30, we recommend that you take an interest in the CCN and its proposed activities . We often attend the meetings organized by the association, so we will meet up sometime!

2. Discriminatory attitudes and hate speech. Both in face-to-face meetings and on virtual channels, we do not tolerate discriminatory attitudes or comments or behaviors that can be described as racist, sexist, xenophobic, LGBTQI, or discriminatory in any way towards any vulnerable group.

3. Unsolicited judgments or comments. We do not tolerate unsolicited comments or judgments about a person’s physical appearance, their psychological or health conditions, or their customs, private life, or personal beliefs, regardless of the motivation for the comment.

4. Harassment/violation of privacy . Behave politely and respectfully and do not monopolize people’s attention. Do not ask for contact information directly from anyone. Instead, you can talk to the organizers after a meeting so that they can make it easier for you to contact someone if the requested person agrees. Following the same logic, talk to the organizers so that they act as intermediaries before opening someone privately on WhatsApp.

5. Taking photographs. Taking photographs of other people without consent during activities is not allowed, and even less so publishing them inside or outside the group channels. At each activity there will be people in charge of taking group photos, in which you can decide whether or not to appear, and which will be shared through our channels and for dissemination on social networks and the web.

6. Alcohol / drugs. If appropriate, we think it is good that alcohol is consumed at meetings, but in moderation and without this affecting the comfort and well-being of other people. The same can be said about the use of soft drugs, such as cannabis.

7. With or without clothes? The vast majority of our activities are nudity optional , and we explicitly indicate this in the event description (nature routes, indoor meetings, etc.). Nudism is an important branch of naturism and many of the meetings we organize are closely related to its practice, but it is not the only aspect of the lifestyle we promote. It is recommended that you come with the idea of completely undressing in activities that take place in areas of preferential nudist use, such as beaches (we do not want to contribute to textilization!), But even in these cases, we will accept the use of clothing in specific circumstances (first experiences, menstruation, dysphoria, etc.).

8. Sexual behavior. Our group promotes the practice of nudism without mixing it with sex or exhibitionism. A spontaneous erection or an occasional show of affection (with due consent) is not a problem, but you should avoid open sexual behavior in our activities. This rule also applies to our virtual spaces: we forbid sharing pictures that are out of what is considered “nudist-friendly” (focus on genitals, erections, pornography, etc.), as well as sexual comments.

9. Respect for nature. For our naturist values, it is essential to respect the environment during outdoor activities: take care not to damage the environment, recycle if possible, and manage your own waste so that no trace of our presence remains beyond footprints in the grass or sand.

2. Send an introductory message*

To be part of Joves Naturistes, the first thing you have to do is send us an introductory message. The easiest and most direct option is to fill out the following form, which communicates with our email, although you can also write us a message or a DM directly on Instagram or Twitter (in this case, let us know that you have read the group’s rules of conduct and that you are willing to follow them). You can take the opportunity to ask us any questions you may have.

We recommend that you follow these questions when writing your message:

• Basic data : name, pronouns, age, location, contact method (if you do not follow the form).
• How do you experience naturism? What values ​​do you feel most identified with?
• What expectations do you have about the group and why would you be interested in being part of it?
• Do you think you could contribute to the group in some way?
• Have you read the rules of conduct and do you agree to follow them? (if not follow the form)

*We have enabled this submission process to keep the group safe. The data you provide us is for the sole knowledge of the organizers and in no case will it be published or shared with third parties.

3. Come and meet us!

Once you have introduced yourself, a person from the group will respond to you through the channel you have chosen to communicate with us and will welcome you and indicate the next step to take: to meet in person. This face-to-face meeting can be:

• One of the “getting to know each other and welcoming” meetings that we organize specifically to facilitate the entry of new people into the group ( recommended ).
• Any activity open to new members organized exclusively by us or together with other groups.
• An activity of the Catalan Naturist Club in which some people from Joves Naturistes participate.

In the ” Activities ” section of the website you will see a list of meetings scheduled for the coming months.

If you are interested in a meeting, let us know in advance via email or social media. If you have already sent us the introductory message and provided us with a contact information, we will likely notify you directly if there is a new activity in which you can participate.

In the first activity, newcomers will be asked to verify the age they have communicated in the introduction message.

It is possible that, even if you are part of the group, there are activities that are not for you, such as non-mixed meetings for gender dissident people. Always check the activity information on the website, where this will be clearly specified, if applicable!

Once the first contact is made, we will add you (if you want) to our WhatsApp group.. There you will be able to talk to other people linked to Young Naturists, share experiences and knowledge, and receive firsthand all the information related to the group and future activities.

Please note that at no time during this process will you be asked for a membership fee, nor will you be required to join the CCN as a paying associate.

Attention: for security and privacy reasons, it is essential that there has been a first contact at a meeting so that we can add you to the WhatsApp group or so that you can contact other people from Joves Naturistes, beyond the organizers.

Other things to keep in mind:

These considerations, as well as the rules of conduct, exist to prevent harassment , especially in a space of vulnerability such as those of socialization in optional nudity, and guarantee the diversity of the group.

• Prioritization of gender dissident people. The group pursues balanced gender representation and prioritizes the admission, reception and attention to the needs of gender-dissident people.

• Are you a cis man? Cis men can apply for membership, but the process may be subject to greater scrutiny, especially if behaviors or intentions are detected that could alter the security of the group (this also applies, of course, to gender dissidents). We prefer to be careful and selective in caring for the environment than increasing the number of members, and we reserve the right to deny entry to virtual channels and activities.

• If you can, come with company! We always recommend coming to activities with trusted people (friends, partners, connections, family…), especially the first few times. These people must also send us an introductory message (this can be through the same profile or email) and inform us that they have read and accepted the rules before attending a meeting.

You can always help us, if you are available and feel comfortable with us, to promote the naturist lifestyle and organize the Young Naturists group. Here are the things you can do at the moment to assist us (and we will be very grateful!):

• Join one of the working groups. Joves Naturistes is a horizontally organized group in which all members can contribute. The general Joves Naturistes WhatsApp group is within a community where there are six other self-managed working groups . If you want to collaborate more deeply with us and think you can contribute to one (or several) of these groups, we will welcome you with great enthusiasm!
