Full of excitement, on Saturday 24th May, three of us from the Young Naturists group, David, Ivan and Roger, boarded the plane and flew to London. The other international participants were waiting for us at Heathrow Airport, and from there we set off towards the festival area. We met Vinc and Álvaro, two other young Spaniards (from ANVA and ADN), and after settling into the tents, we were able to have dinner and take part in the evening activities: bingo, “flag parade” and night party!

The days passed quickly, and first of all the weather was very kind to us. The meeting was very well organized and there were almost always activities to do: we started each day with a yoga session, very often followed by a good rest in the intermittent sun. Among other things, we were able to practice sports such as dodgeball and archery, and we took part in the “war” of powder paint (holi paint) and then cleaned ourselves by going down the famous water slide (Slip’n’slide ) which consists of a plastic tarp placed on a slope that is watered with water and becomes very slippery. On Sunday we went to a reserved water park for a few hours, and on Tuesday we even ended up participating in the talent contest!

It is worth noting that everyone participated (or not) in the activities at their own pace, and that at all times a climate of optional nudity was maintained: complete nudity was recommended, but never imposed. In fact, the last two days were quite rainy and windy, and it was necessary to wear clothes for their essential function: to protect us from the elements. Much of the time, especially towards the afternoon, we stayed inside the large tent that was on the premises, well prepared to hold various activities, with a bar and a stage.

Tuesday evening, the last day before leaving, was especially exciting because the fruit of all this international contact that we have been building over the last few years materialized: with a beautiful show starring us, who took to the stage of the tent, the news was made public that the next International Naturist Youth Gathering will be held in Catalonia!
We are already moving the pieces to celebrate it in El Fonoll , which is a place that meets all the required conditions. Little by little we will outline the details, but it will certainly be a meeting that will strengthen the naturist movement among young people in our country and will open us even more to the international perspective. This year, young people from 15 federations have participated in the meeting in the United Kingdom, and we are already expecting an attendance of around 50-70 young people next year.
